A bit about Congential Rubella Syndrome...

Did you know? The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reports that over 100,000 babies each year, world wide are born with CRS.

Did you know? 2,000 babies will die pre birth or post partum because of CRS defects.

Did you know? Contracting Rubella in the first trimester of pregnancy, especially in the early weeks CAN cause miscarriage and still births. It WILL cause congential malformations, defects in the unborn child. These include blindness, deafness, developemental delays, heart defects, bone defects and many more in various degrees of severity. For more information:

Did you know? CRS isn't CURABLE. The sometimes catostrophic defects can only be managed. Only through VACCINATION can this be prevented.

For vaccination information, contact your doctor. If you have a CRS child, contact the Deafblind international website:

 http://www.deafblindinternational.org/

Or the deafblind association in your country. You aren't alone, either as a CRS warrior or a parent of one.
